Connor Trinneer stars as Chief Engineer Commander Charles "Trip" Tucker III, a Southerner with an offbeat sense of humor. A brilliant engineer and an outstanding officer, Trip has very little first-hand experience with alien cultures, and is often a "fish out of water" when dealing with new civilizations.
Born in Walla Walla, Washington, Trinneer attended Pacific Lutheran University in Washington where he played college football, and ultimately discovered the theatre. He graduated with a B.F.A. in acting and then went on to receive an M.F.A. in acting and directing from the University of Missouri in Kansas City.
Trinneer's television credits include guest- starring roles on several series including "Freaky Links," "Gideon's Crossing," "Melrose Place," "Touched by an Angel," "Pensacola" and "ER." He also played lead roles in the independent film "Duncan's Shadow" and the PBS film "Far East," and appeared in the HBO film "61."
Trinneer's theatre background includes several off-Broadway and regional theatre productions including "Hamlet," "Much Ado About Nothing," "Far East," "The Rover," "The Tempest," "Picnic," "Julius Caesar" and "Arcadia."
Trinneer currently resides in Los Angeles. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, working out, surfing, snowboarding, reading, traveling and he is a novice coin collector.
