A SUPPOSED HIDDEN TREASURE BECOMES THE MOTIVATION FOR MURDER ON "THE SENTINEL" AIRING WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17 (9:00-10:00 P.M., ET/PT) ON UPN

"Breaking Ground" -- A murder at a Cascade archeological dig hits close to home for Sandburg, who takes a personal interest in the case. During the investigation, he and Ellison learn that the assets of a secret society dating back hundreds of years are supposedly buried at the murder site, owned by the mob-linked Mark Cantor. But Cantor is on a mission to find the treasure "map" -- a cryptic message etched into a jagged piece of gold -- and has no qualms about eliminating anyone who stands in his way, on "The Sentinel" airing WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET/PT) on UPN.

Starring are Richard Burgi as Detective James Ellison, Garett Maggart (cq) as Blair Sandburg and Bruce A. Young as Captain Simon Banks.

Guest starring are Lisa Akey as Cassie Welles; Zack Ward as Ed Ducain; Gabrielle Rose as Emily Watson; and Dale Wilson as Mark Cantor.
