MOESHA SEES THE LIGHT AND DARK SIDES OF RESPONSIBILITY ON "MOESHA" AIRING TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (8:00-8:30 P.M., ET/PT) ON UPN

-- Morris Day Guest Stars and Performs--

"Rhythm and Dues" -- Moesha gets her friends' record demo played on the radio and a local gig follows, but so does a cease and desist order, on "Moesha" airing TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on UPN.

Moesha, thrilled for herself when she gets a record demo by Hakeem, Q and Kim played on the radio, is suddenly not so thrilled when Morris Day tracks her down with a cease and desist order dictating that her friends' band stop sampling his riff in their song. Unable to dissuade Morris from suing, or her friends from performing the song at a gig, Moesha can only cross her fingers when Morris shows up at the gig. But a little flattery works wonders, resulting in Morris' magnanimous (and musical) side getting him on the stage to join Q, Hakeem, and Kim in a performance of their song with him supplying his own riff a capella.

Starring are Brandy Norwood as Moesha Mitchell; Sheryl Lee Ralph as Dee Mitchell; William Allen Young as Frank Mitchell; Countess Vaughn as Kim Parker; Marcus T. Paulk as Myles Mitchell; Lamont Bentley as Hakeem Campbell; Yvette Wilson as Andell; Shar Jackson as Niecy; and Fredro Starr as Q.

Guest starring is Morris Day, formerly of The Time, as himself.

The episode was written by Fred Johnson and directed by Henry Chan.
