Hill Harper brings his large and small screen experience to the role of Tommy Greer, a young husband and father who is half of the hot dog, footage-at-any-cost news crew the "news brothers," in Live Shot, the new, fast-paced ensemble drama series from RYSHER Entertainment for broadcast on UPN.
On television, Harper was recently praised by reviewers for his role in the critically-acclaimed Showtime movie Zooman, in which he starred opposite Lou Gossett Jr. in the role of Victor, a character struggling with his rage following the murder of his adolescent sister. Harper played the recurring role of Aaron Mitchell, Al Bundy's Polk High football prodigy and fellow shoe salesman in the hit Fox series Married...With Children. He has also guest starred on many other series, including Sweet Justice, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Walker Texas Ranger, Renegade, Life Goes On and M.A.N.T.I.S., as well as appearing in the television movies Breach of Conduct and Skin Deep.
His feature film credits include starring roles in "The Boys Club," "Pumpkin Head II," "Drifting School" and "Roncha," and co-starring roles in Damon Weans' "Blankman" and "True Class." He will also appear later this Fall in the James Cameron scripted and produced film "Strange Days" with Ralph Fiennes and Angela Bassett.
Harper has starred Off-Broadway as Wilnor in the one-man play "Your Handsome Captain" Rex in "Freeman" and Don in "American Buffalo." His regional theater work includes lead roles in "The Colored Museum," "Dark Symphony," "The Toilet" and "Full Cycle."
He has also served as co-host on the WCVB-TV/Boston talk show "Nightshift" and has made numerous appearances on MTV's music and dance show "Club MTV."
While Living in Boston, Harper was a member of Black Folk's Theatre Company, one of the oldest all-African-American traveling theatre troupes in the nation. In an ongoing commitment to public schools, of which he is a product, Harper volunteers to teach acting classes to inner-city youth and pursues causes related to urban children and education.
He is a native of Sacramento, California, and a magna cum laude graduate of Brown and Harvard Universities.
