Bumper Robinson stars as Jared Harris, a career-minded ladies' man who must agree to let his six-year-old brother, Maestro, move into the bachelor pad he shares with his free-spirited roommate, on UPN's new half-hour comedy, "Guys Like Us."
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Robinson made his professional acting debut at age four when the owner of his preschool sent him to audition for a Jello Pudding Pops commercial. Unbeknownst to his parents, Robinson was cast as a "Cosby Kid" and the rest is history. While at first his parents were startled and a little confused, they soon took an active interest in their son's new career and, to this day, play a major role in his life, both personally and professionally.
Robinson has starred in such popular series as "A Different World," "Amen" and most recently, "Three." Additionally, he had recurring roles in the hit series "Family Matters" and "Living Single," as well as guest starring roles in "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch"; "The Steve Harvey Show"; "Hangin' With Mr. Cooper"; "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"; "Touched By An Angel"; and "Sister, Sister."
On the big screen, Robinson co-starred with John Travolta and Harry Belafonte in "White Man's Burden" and spent four months on location in Munich, Germany filming "Enemy Mine" with Louis Gossett, Jr. and Dennis Quaid. He also portrayed Jackie Jackson in the made-for-television movie "The Jacksons: An American Dream" and played young O.J. Simpson in "The O.J. Simpson Story."
Behind the camera, Robinson spent two years as the voice of Philo in Hanna Barbera's "Flintstone Kids" and he was the voice of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" friend, Carter, in that animated series. Robinson's other vocal roles include the animated series "Animaniacs," "Pinky and the Brain" and "Batman."
When not acting, Robinson enjoys writing, directing, playing basketball and hitting baseballs at the batting cages.
Robinson is single and lives in Los Angeles.
