It's a cop show with a twist. (Is there any other kind?) We see very little of the busts and beats in the suburban copland, where John DiResta eats, sleeps and hangs. But sometimes the 'burbs are scarier than the streets of New York. Or so they tell us.

This Civil War saga is a far cry from top hats and petticoats. Desmond Pfeiffer (Chi McBride) is Honest Abe's chief adviser. He also happens to be his butler. He's in the middle of history and chronicling every instant, although this promises to be more Comedy Central than History Channel.

Aliens from outer space are slowly switching places with real humans in a quiet mid-western town. There's Sean, the handsome son with political aspirations and a secret love that threatens his dream; Clay, the hardworking kid with middle-child syndrome; Alice, the daughter in search of her own identity; Lexy, the free spirit; and Jeremy, a New York orphan who has been taken in by the Logans in more ways than one.
