René Echevarria

Executive Producer

René Echevarria got his start writing for television on “Star Trek:  The Next Generation” and its spin-off, “Deep Space Nine.” His many episodes of “Star Trek” have won him a Humanitas nomination, a Peabody nomination, two Hugo nominations and a NASA Vision Award for Best Depiction of Humanity’s Future in Space.

After leaving “Star Trek,” Echevarria served as supervising producer on the short-lived but critically acclaimed series “Now and Again.” He then went on to executive-produce James Cameron’s “Dark Angel,” “MDs,” “Castle” and “Medium.” Echevarria co-created the Emmy nominated series “The 4400,” which ran for four seasons.

He lives in Los Angeles.
