Ed Westwick stars as overly confident and sexy bad boy Chuck in the stylish drama Gossip Girl, based on the tremendously popular book series about privileged young people in New York City. Westwick is a two-time winner for the Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Villain for his portrayal in addition to winning the Young Hollywood Award for Breakthrough Performance Male.
Westwick, a young British actor who trained at The National Youth Theatre in London, can be seen in several high-profile features. He played the role of Alex in Alfonso Cuarón's Children of Men, opposite Clive Owen and Julianne Moore. Westwick was also seen in the role of Zoran in Anthony Minghella's Breaking and Entering, opposite Jude Law, Juliette Binoche and Robin Wright Penn. Westwick also starred in Son of Rambow, an independent film directed by Garth Jennings, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and caused quite a buzz, selling for the highest amount at the festival. Westwick played Lawrence, a bully and father figure to his devoted younger brother.
Additional credits include guest-starring roles in the upcoming season of Californication with David Duchovny, Afterlife for ITV1, Casualty and Doctors for the BBC and Dream Team for Sky One. He also starred in the thriller 100 Feet, with Famke Janssen and Bobby Cannavale, and can be seen in S. Darko, which follows in the footsteps of cult film Donnie Darko.
Westwick, who is from Stevenage, England, is slated to star as Heathcliff in the forthcoming Peter Webber-directed feature Wuthering Heights.
