Chace Crawford stars as Nate Archibald, an entitled young man with a complicated family history, in the stylish drama Gossip Girl, based on the popular book series about privileged young people in New York City. For his portrayal, Crawford recently won the Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Actor - Drama; his second nomination for the role. He also won the award for Choice TV Breakout Star - Male when the series debuted.
Crawford recently received much attention for landing the lead role in the remake of Footloose, slated to begin production in early 2010. He is also the star of the upcoming Joel Schumacher film Twelve, which will be released in 2010.
Crawford appeared in the telefilm Long Lost Son in 2006, portraying the son of Gabrielle Anwar's character. Directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith, it tells the story of a mother who realizes 14 years later that the son and husband she believed to have drowned are still alive.
Crawford grew up in Plano, Texas. He moved to Los Angeles to attend Pepperdine University and, while there, began acting as a hobby. Currently, Crawford splits his time between Los Angeles and New York City, where Gossip Girl is filmed.
