NBC'S FRESHMAN DRAMA 'AMERICAN DREAMS' GOES TO HEAD OF THE CLASS WITH LOCKER
FULL OF VARIOUS AWARDS
BURBANK, Calif. -- April 1, 2003 -- NBC's "American Dreams" (Sundays,
8-9 p.m. ET) - which recently received the "Future Classic Award" at
the TV Land Awards - has steadily piled up a mantel crowded with other
honors as the feel-good, music- driven freshman drama nears the end of
its first season.
The evocative drama is set against the memorable, upbeat sounds of the
1960s. It depicts a more innocent America as seen through the youthful
Pryor family of Philadelphia as they brace for cultural turbulence ahead
that still resonates today.

production values and affinity for the nostalgic -- yet formative --
period of Americana.
